Double A Baseball Ages 7-8
The primary goal of AA (Double A) is continued teaching of baseball fundamentals and developing your child's baseball skills. We want this time to be an exciting, rewarding and memorable experience, which will prepare your child for baseball at a higher, competitive level. It is not required that players have previously played in tee ball or Single A in order to participate at this level. Players will split their time between practices where they will learn the game through drills, and slightly competitive, controlled games. There are playing rules in place to move the game and promote the development of player skills. The format of the program is combined kid pitch/coach pitch.
Triple A Baseball Ages 8-10
Players at this level consist of: (1) 8 year olds who try out for the Minor League and are drafted onto a Minor league team and (2) 9 through 10 year olds that either choose not to play in the Major League or try out for the Major League and are not drafted onto a Major League team. Any 8 year old wishing to try out must have played one year of Double A. Triple A is an instructional, yet competitive program where coaches are encouraged to rotate players through various positions and prepare players to move to the Major League. Controlled games are played using primarily Major League rules, although there are exceptions including limitations on stealing and runs per inning to move the game along and to begin to develop an understanding of baseball strategy. This league stresses the teaching of baseball fundamentals and sportsmanship, as well as the overall development and refinement of proper baseball skills and techniques. Players will be assigned/drafted to teams in a manner that provides for balanced, competitive teams.
Majors Baseball Ages 9-12
The Major League is a competitive program that focuses on developing a more advanced understanding of baseball strategy as well as refinement of skills. Players between the Little League ages of 10 through 12 years old can try out for the Major League. Player's knowledge and experience will grow with the regular game schedule, post season playoffs, and an extensive practice schedule. Players are selected for Majors through a try out process. All 11 year olds will play in Majors unless their family asks otherwise. All players wishing to play Majors with the exception of returning Majors players and 12 year olds must attend tryouts.
